The Dapper Eye: Etude House I Need You, Royal Jelly! Mask Sheet

I love sheet masks, and I have found a lot of variants from different brands, all Korean. And right now, I like you to join me on my quest to finding the best sheet mask for my face. Among the first ones I tried, the Etude House I Need You, Royal Jelly! Mask Sheet. Hit or miss or just fine? Read on.

The packaging. The sheet mask is in the cutesy packaging most Korean cosmetics have. It's in a foil pack with matte finish. I love anything matte, really prefer it over the glossy finish, so the matte packaging is a plus for me. :)

The sheet. I wasn't able to take photos, but the sheet is just like every sheet mask out there, with holes for the nose, eyes, and mouth. It's not a snug fit, but the mask fits just fine on my face. I've tried a number of sheet masks from different brands already, but I haven't found one that fits my face perfectly. The smell of the essence was just fine. It's not my favorite scent, but it's not bad either.

Effects. I put it on my face for 20 minutes (the packaging says you should leave it on for 15-20 minutes) and pat the leftover essence on my face and neck, then went to sleep. Upon waking up the next morning, I immediately looked at the mirror to see the effects--none. To be perfectly honest, I even think it made my skin look worse. I honestly didn't know what happened. It's definitely not an Etude House thing because I was able to try the Red Ginseng variant last December and it did wonders to my face, but this one, I don't know. Maybe royal jelly isn't for my skin.

The Dapper Rating. 2.5 out of 5 stars. Just fine. I gave some to my friends last year as holiday gifts, I'm hoping they didn't have the same effect as I had. :/

Will I buy this again? For as low as PhP59.00 (approximately US$1.50), it's definitely a good deal (especially the Red Ginseng variant). I might buy it again. Might. But not Royal Jelly anymore, if ever. Perhaps, I have a whole lot of Innisfree sheet masks to try out, so it should be a long time before I decide whether to repurchase or not. I'm hoping the Innisfree masks'll work well with my skin. :)

You can buy I Need You, Royal Jelly! Mask Sheet (and all the other variants/scents) on all Etude House stores nationwide.
