The Dapper Eye: Ysabel's Daughter Revitalizing Facial Serum

Welcome to the first installment of The Dapper Eye series! I've come across this product because of my business, and I have been using it since I first tested it last January. In depth review follows.

Ysabel's Daughter is a Filipino organics brand, with all of their products proudly Filipino-made. I am honestly happy that there are now a whole lot of Filipino beauty brands sprouting every so often--it is actually one of my (completely attainable) dreams: for the Filipino cosmetic industry be as successful, if not more, as its Korean counterpart. Good for the country's economy (and for my business, too! LOL).

Moving on to this post's agenda, I have been using this product for months now. To tell you honestly, I am not that person who really really sticks to one beauty/grooming product especially now that there are A LOT of choices out there. But this one made an exception.

The back label reads: "All in one serum that moisturizes, renews, smoothens, and tones your skin. The pureness of these ingredients will leave your skin firm, young, and vibrant."

It has water honey, jojoba oil, and extract of Laminaria Saccharina (a brown seaweed extract that is a proven skin exfoliate and brightener, without causing dryness) among others that are responsible for the awesome effects of this equally awesome product.

The packaging. It is neatly packaged in a translucent glass bottle (so you can make out of the serum's color and consistency inside) with a translucent treatment pump that dispenses just the right amount of serum. The label is a mix of royal blue, gold, and white--very classy and very gender neutral too!

The serum. The serum is a white semi-opaque fluid that may flow off of your fingers if you're not watchful. It is to be applied on slightly moistened skin before bedtime. When applied, the serum can be a little sticky, but the stickiness dissipates after a few seconds.

Effects. A minute or so after the serum dries off, your face will have that feeling of being stretched--think putting clay/gel face mask and the feeling you get when it dries off completely on your face, that's it. For me, it's a positive thing since you know right away that the product has an effect on your skin. After a week or so of using it every night, I noticed my skin to be smoother, more tight, and less oily.

The Dapper Rating. 5 out of 5 stars. Absolutely. I also said before that, among the many products I personally tried, this product is among the ones I would personally recommend.

Will I buy this? With a price tag of PhP960.00 (approximately US$25) and the fact that you can use one bottle for over a month, a sounding YES. :)

Ysabel's Daughter Revitalizing Facial Serum is available for purchase online via Zalora and SaladBox. As for their stockists, I have no idea from which stores/boutiques to buy them. Hehehe :)

Have you tried this serum before? What are your thoughts about it?
