On Real Estate Careers and Year-Long Hiatuses

I don't know how many times I've said this on this blog, but I'M BACK! Blogging has been an on-and-off thing for me and, if I'm being honest, I haven't really had that much time (or effort?) to post regularly here. Blame it on my hyperactive personality, I couldn't focus!

So...what have I been doing in the past 17 months?

So what have I been doing in the past 17 months? I got busy with business. Especially last year, I had to run from one business meeting to another to keep up with the demands of the two businesses I started over the past few years. Last year (and a bit part of this year) saw a lot of mainstream brand partnerships in my discovery retail business and I am really thankful! I'm hoping it carries on (and constantly becomes better) indefinitely. :)

I also continued my events organizing business with some of my very close friends. The business, which we do part-time, has served a handful of clients already and has events lined up. So far so good!

Also, early this year, I joined the sales team of one of the country's leading real estate developers. I haven't really thought of applying to a property specialist/consultant position, not consciously at least; but the opportunity presented itself and who was I to say no? Besides, I've been really intrigued by this industry (plus the fact that some of the people who made it big in life made it so because of selling property) since late last year.

So I entered this very fun world, and I am glad to say that I have made a couple sales and have a good number of closable accounts, which I am keeping my fingers crossed to. I really really hope to close these deals within the next few weeks. I really want to make it big here.

So yeah, this addition to my career is what's responsible for the Real Estate tab on my blog's menu bar. Expect A LOT of real estate posts coming up. :)

I am currently here in the Greenbelt area for a series of meetings, I hope everything goes well.

Cheers,

PAUL
